Our goal is to help you ensure:

Ensuring that standards are the same across each role involved in the Wraparound process

Everyone is responsible for their part in the Wraparound process, from the youth to the family to the HFW staff.

to the national standards for the Wraparound process.

How to start

The High Fidelity Wraparound process is led by a facilitator who brings multiple systems together with the child, youth, and family and their natural supports to create a highly individualized plan to address their complex emotional and social needs. The goals of High Fidelity Wraparound are to meet the needs prioritized by youth and family, improve their ability and confidence to manage their own services and supports, develop or strengthen the natural supports, and integrate the work of all child/family serving systems and natural supports into one streamlined plan. High Fidelity Wraparound is an evidence-based practice driven by the National Wraparound Initiative (NWI).

A High Fidelity Wraparound facilitator engages all participants and this role can be a complicated one. It requires training and certification beyond the usual one-discipline focus, as it seeks to incorporate all aspects of a child or youth’s growth: emotional, familial, academic, and faith-based organizations must be involved and working together.

Laurie Fowler Beckel has assisted dozens of human service agencies looking to scale-up their workforce for High Fidelity Wraparound via:

Laurie provides a range of training related to HFW implementation.  She cross-trains the HFW together in Team Training in a curriculum she authored called, “No Frills, Skills-Based HFW Training”.

Laurie provides the supervision and mentoring that assists individuals in effectively implementing HFW coaching skills.

As an evidence-based practice, HFW has a process of certification.  This is a systematic and sequential process of learning key skills and action steps, and being able to demonstrate one's ability to do the action steps. Laurie assists individuals through the process to certification.  Laurie certifies all roles in the HFW Workforce…facilitators, family and youth support partners and coaches.
